Rumen Petkov
Rumen Petkov is an artist with a rich creative biography. He graduated from the Technical School of Ceramics in his hometown of Popovo in 1974 and continued his education at the University of Veliko Tarnovo under Prof. Nikola Gelov, where in 1980 he graduated in the specialty "Decorative and Monumental Arts". He has had more than 30 solo exhibitions in the country. He works in the fields of painting, watercolor, graphics, sculpture. Recently, he was awarded the honorary title "Knight of the Brush" by the Art Center Orchidea, Karlovo.
His works skillfully intertwine fine painting with applied-decorative elements, and his canvases are distinguished by a wealth of color and texture. His painting invites us to a dialogue with colors and shapes, discovering a distinctive style, an original view of the exciting world, reflected in his paintings.
